Splash of colour

Couldn't decide between the polyanthus and the few crocuses that have come out over the last few days, but as they are few and far between I decided to go with the more showey bought in flowers rather than those that have struggled through the winter and are just fighting their way through the weeds. The weather has just not been good for gardening this year, either too cold or too wet so the garden is looking really untidy. the crocus picture might be one to take another day when a few more have found their way up - failing that it will have to wait for the dafs, the buds of some are showing now but they will probably take a couple of weeks yet to get to flowering. I always love the first bulbs coming out as you know it won't be long before the colour starts coming back to the rest of the garden.
