Water flows through a frozen bleak landscape...

... but hopefully soon that will change. Spring will come all will be green again.

Better large.

This is just off the lake at Schooleys Mountain Park. Not easy to get down to with all the snow, ice and snow covered deep patches of leaves to trick you, but at least it is now possible.

Great to get out and about... roll on spring

[update]After seeing the image on Blipfotos grey background I found that it needed more contrast to avoid washing out into the grey of the Blipfoto background.

Both are on Flickr to compare
-Original
-Higher Contrast

[update 2:] After seeing that people would have prefered to see the color version I have uploaded the color original unedited version to Flickr. I thought B&W showed the water motion better and seemed to me to make the texture of the rocks look better. I thought the color was a bit dull anyways. I thought I'd save the color for when all the lush greens start in the spring.

Looking back now (next morning) I find the color is better than I thought last night. I find when editing I sometimes end up with something and look back and prefer it unedited, editing can do weird things to your view of an image. Its always better to keep looking back to the original while editing... See what you are losing as you edit.

As usual feedback is welcome, though I would prefer it if people who One Starred the image told me why, one starring is not useful feedback at all.
