It seemed very appropriate today that for my 40th blip,I should come across Mother Emu,and her baby....This is her/him....(have a look at my first blip to see mum)
So incredibly intelligent and comical...I swear they were talking to me.
It's great to be able to get close to them in their familiar surroundings.They were in a paddock with a flock of sheep,and very relaxed one and all.
That the baby hasn't been taken by a fox is probably a miracle...Then again,if you saw the size of the mothers feet,it would be a very brave fox....and the emu is very fast.

While I was snapping away and communicating with them,another woman turned up to photograph them,because she wants to make a Topiary emu...was laughing.
