Knox Church is No More

Earthquake Day #3

Well finally got out of the house properly today. Went with Mum and Mike for a bit of the damage to investigate the damage of our beautiful city. T'was really sad to see pretty much all the old fashioned churches and building (the Cathedral and the Art Centre being among them) are pretty much gone; but the really sad thing is that I don't think there is talk of rebuilding...

The building above is Knox Church. It really was stunning; and I used to have a lot of choir and singing practises in there...back in the old days. Well looks like I wont be any more..gutted much.

Although in the times like these the true colours of people really do show! It is amazing to see how many different countries come to help little old NZ at a drop of a hat; or 1/3 of a CBD at that matter. It's really a fantastic thing to see how many people worry and send their well wishes.

Thank you to EVERYONE who is thinking, praying, helping in this time of need.

Got water back today! It's amazing how dependant human beings are with such a rudimentary thing. Good ol' H2O ;)
