Under a Bit of Shade

Earthquake Day #5

Mum and I went down to see whether or not we could provide the temporary shelters with any help today. Holy crap! It gave me a bit of an awakening seeing a fair few unlucky people who don't have a home any more; and here I am with only having to deal with out water for 2 days and a couple of cracks in my house..mmm...
So it turned out that the shelter didn't need any help, didn't accept any home baking for safety reasons (what???) and all we could do was leave of name and address and we'd take people in if they were wanting a good bed for a week or so.

That was pretty much the excitement of the day really.

We did have some family friends come for dinner, but that's pretty standard.

But wow, I still can't believe how lucky I am with the out come I was given from this earthquake.
