Apologies to Rabbie Burns

Well by the time we got to Blackburn on Friday it was too late to cook the haggis so had to do with a Chineese Carry out instead. Mrs Muir's birthday on Friday too. We set of on the Inverness to Edinburgh train at lunchtime and got as far as Aviemore. Because of the flooding we were then put on a bus for the rest of the journey. At Perth we were told the Forth Road Bridge was closed to high sided vehicles which meant a diversion round by Stirling. Around five o clock we got to the outskirts of Edinburgh and it took us another hour to get through the traffic to the railway station. We would have been quicker walking.
Finally got onto the Bathgate train and again due to flooding this train went at a snails pace. Never mind six or so hours later we arrived at our daughters in Blackburn and had a nice weekend with her. Had we taken the car we would have been there in just over three hours.
