Q&A

Q: Age/Sex/Location
A: 27/Male/Barcelona

Q: Why 'fotorocker'?
A: I'm a photographer and I'm a rocker... baby.

Q: How long have you been shooting photos?
A: I started to take photography seriously when I brought my first SLR camera, a Pentax MZ-50, to a hardcore punk festival and shot the bands who played there. That was in 2000. Later I spent two years at a photography school, but I quit because I was learning more from shooting in the streets than from attending classes.

Q: Equipment?
A: Canon EOS 20D with Sigma 18-50 mm and 8 mm fisheye lenses, and a Panasonic Lumix LX2. I also shoot film with a Nikon 80, a Rollei 35 SE (best compact camera ever) and an Olympus XA, among other cameras.

Q: Influences?
A: Lots of other photobloggers and anonymous photographers with something to say. But if you want the famous ones, I would say Robert Frank, Glen E. Friedman, Alberto García-Alix, Philip-Lorca Di Corcia, Danny Lyon and Diane Arbus. Also cinematographers like Robby Müller and Christopher Doyle.

Q: What is your goal in photography?
A: Enjoying every single shot, finding the beauty in everyday things and documenting small slices of life.
