I started out going for a walk with my young cousin who has a Nikon D40x and after viewing his photos on Flickr, I decided to try and capture things on our walks, first using my mobile phones camera, then I bought a secondhand Fuji camera, my best friend commented on how good some were ( my head getting bigger) he decided to buy me a Nikon D3100 with the standard 18-55mm & 55-200mm lenses, so now I felt I had to justify my gift and get out more and capture almost everything I saw ( some good ones and lots of not so good) I have now purchased a D7000 and still trying to get to grips with it ( patients is a virtue Im told)
Looking at the high standard of photography on this site excites me, as I know if I stick in hard enough I can achieve a high standard ( God willing) :-)
Many thanks in advance for your kind comments & taking the time to view my Amateur Captures! :-)
Jim ( toaster is my nickname) and 2112 is my fav album :-)
