I have been involved in photography while a student at Pratt Institute, in my hometown of Brooklyn, NY during the late 1960's and spent many days in the contemplative environment of the darkroom.
The fascination of seeing an image evolve under the yellow/orange safelight has left a lasting impression that continues to haunt me in these digital days.
The notion of capturing an image, a frozen slice of time, is further enhanced for me when it includes the endless fascination of a human expression.
I am, primarily, a "people" photographer caught in the endless dance of contemporary mankind, from birth to death, in all the diverse stages and activities of life.
The simple "snapshot" from the treasure box of my childhood continues to compel me to "snap at the now" capturing friends, relatives & strangers in this world of rapid change.
