My husband was always the professional photographer in the family, I was happy with the results from my point and shoot camera not having to worry about exposure, apertures, allowing more light into the lens blah blah. Over the years as my scrapbooking hobby progressed I've not been so happy with the standard pose and smile shots preferring to get something a little bit more unusual. So began my own journey into "proper" photography armed with my collection of Canon G9, Nikon D5000 and Sony HX5V. I'm hoping the blips and weekend challenges set at work will improve my photography and make me put in the effort to turn the camera dial away from automatic.
