I've always loved photography, and have really got back into it over the last couple of years. I shoot with a Panasonic Lumix FZ38 which I love, but I have recently invested in a Nikon D5000 and am slowly getting to grips with it.

My favourite type of photography is Urbex, I would love to do this full time but the opportunities are few and far between. I like doing HDR, but not over the top HDR, just enough to show the dirt and decay in a location.
I like to learn about different types of photography and different techniques as, even if it's not a style I would choose to do myself, I think any additional knowledge can only help my photography and give me more options.
I have recently sold my first piece through the Open Photography 2 exhibition at the Royal West Of England Academy in Bristol, which I am very pleased (and even more surprised!) about.
I would love to try some people or street photography, and I am rather taken with the "100 Strangers idea", but I haven't exactly got up the nerve to make a start on that yet.
I have started this photo blog (in addition to my Flickr Pro account) to try to ensure that I take a reasonable or interesting photo most days. Also it hopefully serves to help focus my thoughts as I have just been drifting for the last few years, hence it being called "Do Something !!!"
I am based in Monmouthshire, Wales, UK.
