I've been photographing all my life, but more zealously in some periods. Used to have a dark room and loved the magic within, but that ended with the rebuilding of the house and the theft of my lovely, graceful, all mechanical, light and otherwise perfect Olympus OM1 and all accessories.

Started digital in 2000 with the first Ixus; am now the owner of a newer version (860IS; with underwater house to use while diving). I've not mastered underwater photography yet, it is a totally different story, with silt and movement all the time. But the camera is not bad - great to just carry around.

Five years ago I purchased a Nikon D70, and that is the camera I'm still using, but am positively drooling over the D300s. <-- AS OF TODAY (29.03.2010) I AM THE PROUD OWNER OF ONE :-D

This place is just great and I believe it will stimulate me to be more active with the camera! <-- AND BUY MORE EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT.

And please: I'm just as eager for suggestions on how to improve as praise.
