Right then!
I have gone way past my self set target date for fleshing out this biography journal thing.
I still cant decide if I should put all of my text stuff in this bit and keep adding to it, or in separately, with each image.
So, straight off… I don't really do Social Media… Well I do because I am on here, but I don't really know how it works… No, thats not right either. I know how it works, I'm just not used to working it.
What I am trying to say is that I am still clunking about in here at the moment trying to find my way around.
Its a about the image though. Well, mostly I guess.
Blipfoto is a very different discipline for me in relation to creating images.
I take a lot of photographs in connection with being an artist and with my daily job working in construction, but that for me is a different process and I am not normally out there every day with a camera.
So Blipfoto gives me a new focus… a different point of reference and I really like the notion of an image on the day, for the day.
That is very much how I do it mind; take a photo, or a few photos, then edit down to one with the sole intention of uploading to Blipfoto and so far I have really enjoyed doing it.
Anyone of a certain age may remember the photo project "One Day For Life". I still take that book down off the shelf and lose myself in the images that account for that one day.
And that is the same spirit that I find here in Blipfoto… all of life… the mundane and the fantastic… the concrete and the abstract… the beautiful and the grotesque… the happy and the sad.
Ironically, since I have started uploading my own images (I opened an account way back before I first published) I no longer have as much time to look at all of the rich and wonderful images that every one else is uploading. There are just so many its fantastic
So today I am having a Blipfoto day.
I have finally got round to reading all the comments sent to me, I think I have responded to most of them, I may have even responded to some of them twice and I have subscribed to a few journals.
Yikes! Better go take a photo.
