Shot Canon for many years until I tired of hauling "big iron" around with me and shifted to Leica. Super happy with the decision and have never looked back. Sold all my Canon gear about 4 years ago - and that was a bit painful, but got over it.
Have followed Thorsten Overgaard for many years, and finally had a chance to go to one of his workshops in London in early May 2018. Was a positive experience - I learned a lot, and not just from Thorsten. There were a number of simpatico folks also taking in the workshop with me. Thorsten says his favorite places for workshops are London, Berlin, Hong Kong, and New York. I had not been to London for a few years, and found it to be a totally invigorating atmosphere for photography. would highly encourage anyone looking to improve their photography and Lightroom skills to consider one of Thorsten's workshops - www.overgaard.dk. Not shilling for him, just found it to be worthwhile.
Find myself interested in portraits, street photography and landscapes - each of these is a good challenge in their own right, but working to improve on what I do daily. The forcing function of Blip is nice since it is an encouragement to get out there and photograph. I think it is difficult to improve photo skills sitting in front of a computer.
My wife and I also quilt - introduced to it by some friends about four years ago. Used to do a lot of woodworking, but don't have the right space for that, plus am allergic to sawdust. Quilting is like woodworking without the sawdust, except for the fact that fabric can move, and wood doesn't. We have had a lot of fun with our quilting projects, including making special ones for each of our grandchildren.
