Living in the west of Scotland, I'm fascinated by images of sea & sky.  I also respect and admire the  flora & fauna of the natural world, especially by using macro to explore its details.

My day job was in computing (I'm enjoying retirement), and my other major hobby is painting, so I quite naturally manipulate my pictures using various software, and make no apologies for this - it's just another route to a final image.

My main camera is a Nikon D300s (which I love), usually with a 28-200mm zoom lens.  Also a 60mm macro and a 10mm wide angle.  Increasingly using my little Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 pocket camera.
