I've always loved taking photos. Partly because I grew up in a family where my parents were always taking photos and cine film (remember that?) and partly due to the fact that I have such poor long term memory. In fact it isn't brilliant in the medium term!!! By capturing light I hope to capture good and bad times from my past, plus the beautiful scenes that I've experienced. Also my mother was an artist, so I've always had an interest in composition and form.

I started on film with small compact cameras. Then a manual SLR (Praktica) before moving onto digital compact (generally different models of Panasonic Lumix). Then IPhone backed up by Nikon SLR when I want to do "proper" shots.

I live in Addingham, West Yorkshire and work in Leeds as a Planning lawyer.

I joined Blipfoto on 17 January 2016 following a recommendation by happyhound. And I'm already addicted!
