I'm fascinated by photographs, particularly those which capture the atmosphere, expression or character of the photographed. I never aspired to anything other than the snapping of occasions (and, truth be told, I wasn't very good at that) until I started using an iPhone. Carrying a camera all the time made me more aware of the beauty we see in all sorts of places; and I've started to feel that perhaps I might be able to learn to capture some of what I see more permanently.
