Hi Folks, gosh this is all very exciting!

I warn you now I am terrible at taking pictures, never got on well with photography before and certainly not the SLR kind, but this new wonderful digital age lets plebs like myself muck around and at least pretend we know what we're doing.

I've decided to write this journal as I find myself unemployed at 35 in this the most fantastic of financial climates. I have worked as many things but most titles contain the word Analyst, from Junior to Senior and every possible combination inbetween. They are almost all exclusively in the financial sector, and as Edinburgh's financial sector shrinks I may have to be forced into a move or a career change, brilliant!

Anyway, moan over, let's see what all the fuss is about.
