I live at the foot of North Berwick Law, a 613 foot high volcanic plug set in a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) in East Lothian, Scotland.

The Law is a Marilyn, the name given to breast shaped hills, which I find hilariously apposite! The trees to the left are the Act of Union Beeches, some of the oldest recorded trees in Scotland - planted in 1707 to celebrate the union between Scotland and England. There were 4 until recently, sadly a bad storm in early 2013 felled one of these beautiful ancient trees.

Photos are taken from my kitchen window, and I hope to document a year in the life of the Law.
