Love from Afar ~ Neal & Melissa

He's my Super Sexy Gingerbread Sailor Boy and I'm his Smuttercup. We met out of divine intervention, okay mostly intervention but it was divine. His oldest sister and my cousin's wife thought we would be perfect together. I on the other hand thought my life was overwhelmingly busy as it was, and that I did not need a relationship to compound my insanity. Especially a long distance one at that. As the forces of nature (a.k.a. two women with a mission) would have it we finally met, after a 9 month standoff, at an impromptu meeting disguised as dinner with the girls. We went out on our 1st date the next night and have been together ever since.

It has been a whirlwind affair to say the least. Never a dull moment. We've had excitement and adventure, twists and turns, hurdles and strife, joy and happiness, fear and loathing but most of all we've had love and have loved harder when we thought we couldn't love anymore.

We're currently in a "holding" period of this long distance part of our relationship. We've been trying and waiting so patiently to move in together and really start our lives but the military keeps us 215.1(ish) miles separated. So until the day ..
