I mainly sail in singlehanded dinghies such as a laser radial, but I don't have my own boat (yet!!). My sailing season is normally from March/April to the end of October.

Steam trains
I am a volunteer on the Talyllyn railway in mid wales, which I have been going on holiday to since before I was born!! It's a truly great place for the trains, but also the social aspect. Children can start with the family group at any age, and move up to the 'main body' of volunteers age 14. It's lovely and welcoming beyond words.

Animals
I love animals, and have two Russian dwarf hamsters (Phoebe and Felicity) and wonderful a cat (Timmy) as pets. The combination of hamsters and cat isn't great, but the story behind both is rather unusual. The day we finally got hamsters, a cat turned up on the doorstep (maybe he thought he saw his dinner on its way in!?), and despite our best efforts to find his owners no one claimed him. This was 2007. He was then hit by a car in 2011 and lost his tail as a result, but is now back to his usual self.

Crafts
I have a mini business in my handmade crafts, and just generally enjoy making things. I use fimo (oven bake clay) to make tiny pendants for jewellery, I knit, make models for my railway layout and I like sewing and using my own ideas to make decorations, bags, purses etc.
