I am a professional sports photographer based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, United Kingdom and am the founder of AMA Sports Photo Agency.
The hardest thing about being a photographer is picture editing - so deciding to choose a picture that sums up that day is a challenge.
Despite having 4 Nikon D3s and about 7 Canon EOS cameras and about 5 others and dozens of lenses that most wannabe photographers would marvel at, I'm trying to document my life with my iPhone.
It is too easy to create stunningly sharp images with nicely colour corrected tones using Adobe Photoshop.
Back to basics. Shape, composition and impact make a picture. Who cares if it is shot at 160SIO on a Nikon D3s with a 400 f2.8 lens.
My self imposed rules are, when possible, upload from the iphone with raw files. I spend a lot of time traveling and on occasions it may not be possible to upload but my statement of trying to upload from my iphone remains.
Each days 'shoot' is deleted. Only one picture remains, the one which is uploaded onto Blipfoto
All I use with my iphone are the following simple apps
Camera Plus
TiltShift
Infinicam
Photogene
Hipsmatic
