Although, my parents named me Denise, I have evolved into simply being MissMac. 


I have eclectic interests...cemeteries, wildlife (especially birds), extreme weather, and flowers...to name my favourite subjects to photograph.  Living in Canada means that we have this nasty season called winter which can prevent me from spending as many days as I wish outside with my camera.  On the flip side, I have traveled for hours in an ice storm, and a few times in snowstorms, to photograph cemetery statues, or to wander out in -40 C weather to find a Harlequin Duck.  

Photography is my passion and teaching children with autism is my other passion (which also happens to pay the bills ;) )

I have gained enough confidence after a year (plus) with Blipfoto that I have started my own SmugMug account and have my own little growing lifestyle photography business.  I now call it my retirement plan  : ))

Update:  July 2019  I no longer have teenagers and one has left home and is living on the East Coast.  For the time being, my daughter is still living with me but is now out of school (for the time being!).  I am still getting out every day and taking photos...far too many, I have been told!

Dreaming of retirement....wishing that I could have a home in Canada and one in England.  We shall see....
