I started photographing as a serious hobby perhaps 15-20 years ago, this depends a little of the definition of starting. Started with my fathers old and reliable Konica 35mm/2.8 and have used mostly SLR's and later DSLR's since. Mostly I will take photos of my several interests; music including both gigs and hifi equipment, mountain biking, hiking in the mountains and freeskiing.
Last year got bored of carrying around heavy duty arsenal and got me a reasonable worthy pocket size camera. Have been using that in similar manner as SLR's before, but also idea of "street shooting" and maximizing your performance with simple equipment fascinates me. Capturing the moment. I'm not so good in that even if I liked to be. That is what this is all about, right?
Got to know these pages through a friend and liked the idea. Thought I could do that also. Take some stills from my home, from my daily commute to work, doing some interesting stuff or using weird gear from my hobbies. Started wondering is it really possible to keep on going day after day. Have some nice ideas, which to use. Throw yourself in to the moment and take photos that at least someone can think as interesting ones. How long this can continue? Until the next summer? Over an year? Until something big happens? For the rest of my life?
I guess we'll just have to wait and see..
