I live in a small rural town 20km's from Timaru. I have been a widow for nearly 15 years and during that time photography has often been my salvation. Just to get out and view the world through your camera lens gives you a whole new view of the world out there, from the minuteness of the Macro to the majesty of the telephoto.
A day out with fellow photographers is my idea of heaven. I have been very involved with club life over the past years. I have convened two major conventions , a National and a regional with Rainie as secretary. They were challenging but so worthwhile when you see all the happy photographers enjoying the event that you have put so much time into planning.
My aim for this year is to take more time to improve and enjoy my photography, hence my excursion into the world of Blip. Time will tell.
I have three adult children and four amazing grandchildren all heading out into the world to make their own living.
3 Years on and still a part of the blip scene. It is a great community to belong to and challenges one to improve ones photography when you see the expertise of others. There are some incredible photographers using this site whom we can learn from. I am especially enthralled with the wildlife photographers.
Perhaps one of the things I enjoy the most is hearing about life in other countries that are so different to where I live. That in turn makes me appreciate living in New Zealand even more.
Great that the fabulous four have managed to keep this site up and running for the benefit of us all. wonderful the friends I have made from this supportive sight
