For a variety of reasons I’d almost stopped blipping when, in October last year, a blogging (Wordpress) friend issued a challenge: to reach 300 blips by Christmas Day. It was just what I needed, not too onerous, and I succeeded.
Over the past couple of days I’ve been debating whether and how to continue with various ‘social media’. Facebook went long ago; I dislike it intensely.
However, blipfoto is such a wonderful supportive community I decided to prioritise a return to blipping. It will not be a blip every day but I’ll be making a real effort to blip more frequently but, more important, to look at the blippers I follow regularly (some have ‘disappeared’) and, if appropriate, make some meaningful comment.
For the moment I’ll continue with the ‘free’ option, not only for financial reasons but my intentions do not include a need for ‘extras’ and I’ve never liked the possibilty to choose more than one ‘favourite’, though one favourite per posting date rather than one per day would make more sense in my opinion.
I’ve done a post today on my grumpytyke blog outlining my intentions for the future, including with blipfoto. If you’re interested it’s at:
