Suddenly find myself free of dependents living in a city centre after 45 years of country living and 20+ rearing children; it's like I've travelled in the TARDIS to the far reaches of an unknown galaxy.
The most amazing thing about it is that it's not at all scary; it's wonderful; it's liberating; it's life. At some point during the journey I found that I quite like me; that I can do stuff and that being mostly on my own is not as daunting as I thought it was; that I love meeting people and sharing the joys and heartaches of a million lives.
