A time for the evening under lamplight

T.S. Eliot - East Coker
I joined Blip to provide a focus for using my camera and to become a better photographer. Over time I've come to appreciate that the journal and social aspects are every bit as important to my enjoyment of blip.
The discipline involved in taking and uploading a photo every day can become a chore, but the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. I have found that despite good intentions I don't have as much time to take part in the social networking aspects of Blip as I probably should.
I achieved the LRPS qualification on 8 September 2021, and the ARPS qualification on 3 April 2023, something that I would never have achieved without the impetus that blipping every day has provided.
Over time I have become more focused on 3 broad areas of photography: (i)wildlife in all its forms, but particularly things that fly, (ii) landscape (iii) portraits (by necessity during the covid years these have focused on self portraits).
