I've always enjoyed looking at photographs and since being gifted a a 35mm camera in my early twenties taking them too.  Now my cameras are digital: my phone camera, often excellent if I accept its limitations but my favourite is my Nikon D3400 with its Snapbridge app which makes transfer of images to my tablet easy. 
I enjoy capturing light, tone, shape, texture and colour.  My editing is basic as I prefer capturing the moment as it existed.

I draw and use my photographs as reference.  

Often I draw from the references.  This has also led to enjoyable drawing commissions of people's cats or dogs.
