I grew up in Shetland, and after University lived in the Lothians for many years. I'm now retired, living in Oban with my partner and our cat and dog. My interests are Tai Chi Chuan (I am an instructor), walking, family history and dabbling at whatever takes my fancy. Over the years that has included photography - in fact I was president of a local camera club for a number of years in the early 2000s. I gave it up for 15 years or so, but now my interest is growing again.

However I'm not interested in the club photography competition scene any more. I am more intrigued by photography as a tool for exploring the world. Blipfoto discipline helps me do that!
