Having reached my 8th Blip birthday I feel I need to rewrite my profile.

Max Ellis encouraged me to join Blip all those years ago – I was really reluctant but he persevered for which I am very grateful. He, Katherine and their boys Zebedee and Gulliver are dear friends now, and I continue to learn from him.
Blipfoto is not just about photography – it is also a very exciting journey, and along the way I have made so many friends, both physical and virtual if you know what I mean! It has also opened up the world to me. I have “visited” places I could not visit otherwise. I have also learned so much about photography – so much so I feel embarrassed when I look at my earlier entries.
I live in Teddington, South West London, and am very close to Bushy Park where you will find me with my little old bike and my camera every day at dawn – unless the weather is too dreadful that is. As a full time carer for my lovely Mum who is now 95, this is really the only time I can get there – happily the best time for photography too.
For all those of you who take the trouble to look at my journal, and to comment, thank you so much – I am truly grateful. I am shocking at commenting as you will know, I’m really sorry , though I do love to look at your journals too.
A Blip-a-day keeps me sane! So a big thank you to you all, not forgetting those in the wonderful Blip team who work very hard to keep Blipfoto going.

19.September 2021 -  Sadly, I lost my lovely Mum on 5 August 2021. We had a wonderful relationship, one many daughters would be so grateful for. Mum was possibly my biggest fan. I was with Mum to the end for which I am really grateful.
I returned from South Africa in 2002 to help Mum care for my Dad. After he passed away it followed that I cared for Mum. So, after 19 years of caring there will be  huge changes in my life  from here on in. It will take time to adjust, huge decisions to make, places to go.
One constant, however, will be to continue with my Blip Journal. I'm in a state of flux at the moment, not sure where I will settle etc. The daily challenge of taking a photo to post on Blip is a steadying influence. Thanks so much to those of you who take the trouble to visit my journal and comment.
