Singer-songwriter (kathy muir) with a passion for photography in many guises.

I once created an advent calendar: on 1 December until Christmas Day, I wrote a short story each day. Each story was based on a photo I had previously taken. Starting with 1000's, they were shortlisted to 300, then whittled down to 54. Of those 54 photographs, I would write the story, then send both story and photo to my two nephews. Some stories were short, others long, some fact, some laced with fiction. The aim was to spark the imagination.

Another form of photography relates to the Seattle Camera Club which presents pictorial photographs taken by the club (1924-1929). I worked with the University of Washington and David Martin to help create this collection of photographs, never before seen in one location online.

I gladly admit I'm a total amateur but believe you don't need to be great at something to be passionate about it.
