Living with my husband and daughter here in Christchurch New Zealand, recovering from the earthquakes, still don't like loud noises, big trucks that rattle by and the trains that go past our house!
I am not a very good photographer, very basic skills, but keep seeing such great things that others are doing on Blipfoto that I am inspired to give it a go.
2016 now , and I am still enjoying blipping, some days I don't quite get one loaded though.
My home city of Christchurch is looking great, the rebuild from the earthquakes of 5 years ago is in full swing. We still have little shakes now and then and I don't jump as much each time as I used to....
2017..... still here in Christchurch. The city is looking great with a lot of the rebuilding well underway. Not many shakes these days!
I find I have small breaks from blipping now and then but still love to follow everyone.
2019..... I struggle some days to blip. Life seems busy or else I am getting older and don't have as much energy! Lottie and Banjo , the dogs, are often my blip subjects, they keep me going.
2020.... Can't believe it is another year. The world is different now, we seem to have almost lost the first half of the year to the Corona virus that has had us all in lockdown for our own safety, here in NZ we have been led by a wonderful Prime Minister who has taken a tough approach and seems to have got the right results, as I write this we are almost free of the virus. My blips are still a bit random, sometimes loose the momentum to blip each day. The dogs are often subjects, Banjo now 17 and Lottie now 5. Husband and daughter are a rare sight.
I love to keep in touch with other blippers , seeing what they are doing in their lives and countries.
2021, almost getting to the end of the year already. Covid is ruling our lives here in NZ as it is in the rest of the world. We are lucky though, lock downs now and then and no international travel are the hardest things. Banjo passed away earlier in the year , we miss him. Lottie is now heading towards 6 years old, and is a great companion. Ella has moved out of home and is flatting and studying at Uni while working a few days a week too.
2022… nearly 3 months into the year and our lives are still dominated by Covid19. Day to day living goes on with restrictions here and there, mask wearing is compulsory. Ella has just recovered from a mild dose but so far David and I haven’t had it.
2023…. Nearly at the end of a very quick year. Still blipping but not every day. Life is quieter, Ella has left home, Banjo passed away, Lottie is now my only companion around the house ( except David who is busy doing his things).
Feeling like a life change is needed.
