I have a passion for plants. That alone does not make a good gardener though. Too little spare time to keep it neat! I 'll mostly show the good bits I guess.
Aside from my day job I also give illustrated talks on Alpines and Bulbs to garden clubs throughout the UK.

Update 1001 blips - Jan 2015 : Thanks to MaicolmsEye and SwissPiper I now have Life Membership so I guess I have to keep going ;-) Eye to Eye might have used her influence to further my cause, so thanks are due to all three Alpine Blippers.
Update - July 2017
A time of change has overtaken me since the last update. Health and other issues at home now see me working much less (a good thing) and connecting better with the children as a consequence (another good thing.) As the children grow up (Ruth has left home for college) the future is uncertain which may be reflected in my choice of blips and my journal. One thing that will not change is my commitment to Blip and the wonderful, supportive community of which you are also a part.
Update 2020 I moved to Tywyn on the Cardigan Bay coast of Wales, home of the Talyllyn Railway where I shall work occasionally. New home, new job, new garden ..... new life.
