September 2024
Updated my photo aged 70 but very pleased to be still able to get up all the way to the top of Kinder Scout for the first time in decades.
Note: I no longer make promises about my use of Blipfoto - Its on a best efforts basis. Some days I just don't take any photos.
October 2016
Here we go again - paid up membership of Blipfoto.
I like it here - onward with restored optimism
Good luck to all blippers.
Colin.
March 1st 2016. All change at Blipfoto and time for a relaunch of my own.
I have left a gap between old and new and will promise (myself) to write more and get back to publishing one photo a day on the day on Blipfoto.
UPDATE 1st June 2016 - I am failing to post every day.
December 2015
I have pledged £50 for Blip's future. I do hope it survives.
November 2015
I am struggling to keep going: I do take some photos most days but they are often uninspired and I have gradually written less on the journal. I think its just a seasonal blip and I hope that's true because I do enjoy looking back in time at my old Blipfoto entries.
I still think the Blipfoto has a lot going for it but its future is uncertain and I do find it incredible that Polaroid have no communication with the users - or do they and I am just missing it ?

Written when I started ............
I've been looking at Blipfoto journals all year. Now it's time I challenged myself.
A long time snapper I recently found I had forgotten how to take a decent photograph. I'm trying to remember.
My first step was to put more photos on Flickr and see what people thought of them.
My second step was to join a fledgling Camera Club in my home town. It's only been going a few months.
My next move was during August 2012 when

A 32 day project ending 1st September 2012
Starting from Glossop Town Centre I drew a line on the map each day and set off hoping to find something of interest following along the line.
I stayed as local as possible (in Glossopdale mainly) and took photos as near as practical on the line of the the compass direction of the day.
The project didn't really have much impact with viewers but I really enjoyed it. It got me out and about taking photos every day and after that I was hooked on blipfoto.
I have started to subscribe to other bippers journals initially drawn to those north of the border ( or perhaps even in the Borders )
Best Wishes to all
Colin
