An avid and compulsive photographer for over 40 years. 

I've lived in the beautiful Outer Hebrides since early 2001 though i'm a Shropshire lass originally. My passions in life are photography, birds, birding, moths, butterflies and other wildlife of these Western Isles. I also love to travel, go walking and crochet whenever I can (don't like my hands to be idle lol!). I post quite a few of my local bird photos and sightings on Outer Hebrides Birds as I am the county bird recorder (a voluntary post which takes up a lot of my time!).

Camera-wise I often use my mobile phone to grab a shot if something catches my eye. Most of the bird shots are taken with my Canon DSLR. I also have a couple of compact cameras - one of which is usually lurking in my handbag, just in case :)

I originally joined Blip in 2013 as it had been on my mind for a while to take a photograph a day then by chance i discovered Blip! I was pretty active in 2013 but been a little lax since then - though I love to follow other people. In 2018 I'm intending to try for a 365 blip streak.

I work for myself doing a number of things including bird surveys, web design, photography and i'm a fledgling artist.
