I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. I thought I would be an English major, because I love to write, and had a great fondness for Russian novelists, but the English Department at Cal, with its emphasis on the likes of Milton and Chaucer, was not for me, so I majored in Anthropology.
I taught yoga in the San Francisco Bay Area for many years, with an emphasis on the therapeutic aspects of the practice.
I owe my good friend Lady Findhorn a debt of gratitude for introducing me to this great Blipfoto community. My husband and I and our three small children lived in Edinburgh in 1973-4, and that was when I first met Lady F. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge since those days, and a lot has changed for both of us, but neither our friendship, or my love of Scotland has wavered over the years.
Almost two years ago we moved to Sonoma County after living for 45 years in the same house in Berkeley. I elected to keep the Berkeleyblipper name because, as someone said to me, "there will always be a little Berkeley in you". After almost two years I feel that it is now time to change my name to Wildwood. Berkeley will always be a part of me, but the time has come to move on. Wildwood Trail is the name of our road.
I have now graduated from my iPhone to a "real" camera, and I enjoy the added perspective that taking and choosing a single photo each day has given me. My journal and the many friends I have made on Blipfoto have become a still calm place in my life. My photography skills are slowly improving.
