My name is Bob and I've been taking photographs since I was a kid using my parents "Brownie" camera. In 9th grade my "Uncle Joe" a camera freak, gave me an "Argus Rangefinder" 35mm (split screen focus), of which I still have. I did my own b/w darkroom work for years, until the migration of digital (which I love) came into my life. I still love b/w over color, though I am changing there also. But I will take a b/w photograph anyday because it makes you appreciate the subject more so.
My work is self-taught ... I came, I saw, I photographed. I live and work on the low end of the light spectrum ($$ that is), making do with what I have. Three things I believe about photography ... 1. The photograph is not in the camera, but in the photographer ... 2. Appreciate the photograph for what the photographer sees ... 3. Remember, "all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light." [Ephesians 5:13]
