My friend, Evelyne, recently introduced me to blipfoto.  I've enjoyed photography for a long time, but have never mastered the SLR camera settings.  I recently purchased a Nikon Z30 (with a nice automatic setting) and started taking photos for the local humane society.  I LOVE animals of all kinds, and most of my photos are of animals and nature.  I have 4 cats and a dog, and many of my photos will be of them, as they are my biggest joy!

I’m in my 60s and work full time as a massage therapist. I live with my partner, Gene, in a small town along the Oregon coast. I also enjoy hiking, reading, and singing in the community chorus.

During my life I have also lived on a farm in rural Illinois, in downtown Anchorage Alaska, and several places in the Monterey area in California. My grandparents/great grandparents were all immigrants from Sweden. So it’s fun when I discover on Blip people in some of these places.

Blipfoto has quickly become my favorite social media site. Everyone is so friendly and supportive, and the wonderful photos shared are inspiring me so much as I learn more about the art of photography.
