Agave Metal Sculpture

This is a sculpture of the Twin-Flower Agave (Agave geminiflora). The metal sculpture stands about 15' tall, and is locate just north of this sculpture. What is amazing is that the photograph was taken at night, against the night sky. I used a flash and a long exposure of one second. Where did the shadows come from? The only thing I can figure out is that after the flash fired I moved the camera. A unreal effect! Will do this technic again, interesting possibilities!
