Book

Spent most of the day wrestling with keying mathematics into a couple of documents - tedious, finicking stuff. There was a bright spot, however, when the postie delivered a book that DaveH had kindly tracked down and purchased for me. And on World UK and Ireland Book Day, as well! Otherwise it would have been a blip of a maths text book......

It's McX - A romance of the dour, by Todd McEwen. I read it many years ago but became parted from it (I suspect that rascal young Coxson has it still). At the time I found it invaluable in my preparation for migrating to Scotland and attempting to empathise with the Scottish male psyche - it will be interesting to read it again.

Ah yes, Crispy Pilchard Bake. I think this was the first time I encountered the word boke.
