View from the bridge
I only noticed this view of distant Leith/Edinburgh because I was sitting with my back to the direction of travel as the train trundled over the Forth Bridge, maybe at the same time as Old Bat was tottering about on the foreshore beneath. Probably later that when Queenie was looking up at it since the haar had retreated somewhat. The ship is probably refuelling at the Hound Point terminal which sits out in the middle of the Forth.
It's still rather hazy but from the left I can see the chimneys of Cockenzie power station, the flats at Platinum Point, and Chancelot Mill then some more blocks of flats and eventually Arthur's Seat and the castle on the far right.
It was great to see big Colin before the match, but let us not speak of the football.
It was also very nice to meet up with Mrs parsfan (Reg incorporated) for a pizza later on. D and I saw a startling meteorological event as we walked home - too fast for us to get our cameras out unfortunately. Too big for a firework, trajectory very low for a meteorite. A missile launch from Fife headed for the south of Edinburgh.....surely not!
