Big News!

2 interesting stories here:

One is very close to home as my job, as the headline in our local rag reads, is on the line. The proposal is that our primary school will merge with the local high school to create an 'All Through' school catering for 3-16 year olds. Many of our parents are devastated that their village primary school is closing, lots of them attended this school themselves as did many previous generations. Well I suppose nothing ever stays the same :0(

On a happier note, the picture of the collie here has just been returned to his owner. He is a hearing dog who was in his masters car when it was stolen. He has been missing for almost two weeks and was found by a dog warden quite a few miles away, abandoned.
His owner was 'overcome with emotion' when he was finally reunited with Soot :0)
