Amman on a cold and very blustery January morning!

I opened my window as far as it would let me to take this and I got covered in hail/snow. It's absoloutely baltic! It was forecast but nobody, including me expected this! I'm stuck at the hotel with no signal for the satellite tv, intermittent internet connection and an outdoor swimming pool!

My boss called me as I was trying to find a taxi company that would venture out in the snow, to tell me to stay put. Even 4WD vehicles were having difficulty up the hill in Abdoun. It's a few miles to the Embassy and given that I don't have my bearings yet, walking is out.

Hmm. Quiet day for me. It's a public holiday tomorrow and then it's the weekend. Make that four quiet days for me!
