Over the hedge

Frosty morning but a really warm afternoon. Managed to do some gardening.
N's birthday so four of us are going out tonight for a meal to celebrate.

The sun was very bright and not the best light for views but this is what you see northwards over the lane behind us overlooking our neighbours' land. The lower part of the village is tucked right down in the valley. The hedges have all been recently cut - it has to be done before the birds build their nests.

These sheep were very jumpy. The farmer thinks a dog might have chased them as a lamb was found with a ripped leg - or may be it was a fox.
