Have They Gone Yet ?

Lots of action at the feeder station , so many birds here today. The siskins are back with a vengeance and the blue tits , great tits, chaffinches and sparrows had quite a fight on their hands ( should that be claws? ) getting near the food. For such tiny creatures they eat an awful lot and chase away the other birds, only the starlings succeeded in shifting them.

All the other birds were content to settle on the perches till there was space at the feeders but not the siskins, they were straight in there.

This little blue tit had been chased away from the feeder by a particularly nasty siskin and seemed to be hiding while waiting for his chance to get some food.
