Lunch in the park

Herring Gull, Lauderdale Park, Dunbar. The day was built around the release of Pokemon Black and White, which Malcolm has been obsessing about for weeks. I promised we'd go straight to Asda after school, so the boys cycled this morning. Gordon, Katie and I met Duncan and Malcolm at school and off we went. Asda had the game in stock and we duly spent our £30 or so. "Free" DVD too so a bonus of sorts.

From Asda via Hallhill to Lauderdale for lunch, where I snapped this gull making off with Katie's leftovers whilst Gordon (blue jacket) played on the slide. Malc went off to badminton at 1.30 and the rest of us hit the swimming pool after 2, when Malc joined us.

In the pool were loads of people we knew, and a huge amount of secondary kids queuing for the huge new inflatable. Quite honestly the staff appeared to have no idea how to handle the situation and simply resorted to saying "one at a time". My kids avoided it.

Louise was in the pool with her troupe, which I didn't expect. It's always great to see her. Tomorrow I think she's driving me to North Berwick for her gig, where I'm taking photos. Can't wait.

PS. I just realised this is my 100th blip! Doh, I thought that was on Sunday. Ah well, no biggy.
