I am fascinated by the rigs currently in Dundee harbour. The size of these structures, the architecture and lighting and elements that go together to make an impressive fabrication.
After dinner tonight I set off into Dundee to take some shots of the rigs.
Location 1 on Dock Street, meant I had to play 'frogger' to get across the carriageways, loaded down with tripod and camera gear. (scary)
It's a bit eerie at the port at night, and I kept thinking that I would cause some sort of security alert and end up arrested and trying to explain why I was taking pictures of the port at night, (because I like rigs?)
Location 2 was a little bit less hairy to get to, off the main road closer to Broughty Ferry.
I enjoyed have the time alone to try out different angles and shots but I think I will have to come back at dawn or dusk to take some shots with colour in the sky.
