Basketball for my boys this morning and a quick dash to the supermarket for me whilst they were occupied.

When I returned to the basketball lesson I saw the kids involved in a match for the first time in a while. They'd had lots of skill practice and it was about time that they put those skills into use. The boys were happy.

I decided to take a few photos and see what I could do with them while I waited. And, yes, I know this falls into the " bit of fun" category....a serious photographer I'm certainly not! It does kind of fit with the "linear " weekend theme though and also has a resonance with the story my youngest is currently writing for an assessed homework project. The theme is "going to another world" and his story features a tunnel that whisks the main character off to the said, other world.

From the age of 6 children get given a lot of homework here. It certainly has a habit of ruining a nice weekend!

I've really enjoyed my first week on blipfoto. I love having a reason to try to create a nice image for the day. It has been lovely to get some responses, makes me feel warm and fuzzy, and I've enjoyed looking at everyone else's photos, getting a glimpse into their lives.
