I took this on my way to see Hockney's Bigger Trees near Warter, which is a very fine painting indeed and I would recommend y'all to see it.
The landing on the right of this image is where the munitions used to be transferred from boats to a narrow gauge railway which took them the final third of a mile to the barracks. Now it is only used for fishing and feeding ducks.
